Friday Afternoon

22 Jun

It’s one hour away from the weekend… and today has dragged on as long as it could. My office is extra deserted today so I’ve had an 8tracks mix streaming for awhile to keep me sane. Here’s the link if you’d like to listen.

Yesterday was mine and Todd’s official one-year anniversary. We celebrated a couple weeks ago too and rehashed our first date! Tonight we’re getting dinner at Chipotle (burritos are Todd’s favorite) and seeing Brave at the drive-in. I honestly can’t remember the last time I went to a drive-in movie. It was probably the same one that we’re going to tonight when I was under the age of 7. We’re not doing anything super special (we’re probably actually going to check out new headlights for Todd’s car, too…) but we’re going to be together doing things that we love, and that’s what’s special.

I know, vomit, right? I can’t help myself.

I also need to make banana bread! I’ve got two nasty looking bananas sitting on the counter at home but thanks to a plumbing issue last night, I didn’t have the time to make it. Banana bread is one of the easiest things to make but I hate that it takes a whole hour to cook! I want to just cram the whole thing in my mouth halfway through the cooking process because the smell is so delectable. If I remember, I’ll take pictures of the process and give a little step-by-step! I’ve had friends in the past that are weary of baking but this is a no-brainer recipe. The one I adapted it from called it a “no-mixer” recipe, or something of that sort. You just need a big bowl and a spoon! Easy as pie.

Speaking of easy as pie… pie isn’t easy! Who came up with that saying? It should be, easy as banana bread! Who do I talk to about coining phrases?

Omg. I make banana bread almost daily. It’s so good and so easy! I’m always saying this to people. Just a bowl and a spoon. I hope yours goes well. Definitely post pics. And happy anniversary πŸ™‚
